Trauma Therapy
Trauma therapy provides a safe and compassionate space to gently explore and process overwhelming experiences that continue to live in the body and mind. Trauma is not just what happened, but how it was held—especially when support was absent or insufficient at the time. It can show up as emotional dysregulation, anxiety, chronic tension, disconnection, low self-worth, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you.
In our work together, we focus on building internal safety before revisiting trauma content. This may include nervous system education, grounding practices, and somatic awareness to help regulate overwhelming emotions and restore a sense of connection to the body. We explore how trauma-related patterns were formed—often as adaptive survival responses—and how they can be gently reshaped.
My approach to trauma therapy is integrative, combining talk-based modalities with body-based practices when appropriate. This supports not just insight, but actual shifts in how you feel, function, and relate. Healing is not about erasing the past, but about reclaiming agency, reconnecting with yourself, and creating space for new emotional experiences to emerge.
