About Me
As a registered mental health social worker, family therapist, and yoga therapist, I bring nearly 20 years of experience in the mental health field and a rich, grounded perspective to my work. I’ve held senior roles across both community organisations and the public mental health system, working in child protection, child and adolescent mental health, adult mental health, acute psychiatry, youth justice mental health assessment, and crisis sexual assault services. These diverse experiences have deeply shaped my practice and inform the integrative, trauma-informed approach I now offer in private practice—supporting healing through the connection between mind, body, and nervous system.
Having worked extensively across both public and private sectors, I have a solid understanding of the systems individuals and families often navigate. I currently provide services through Victims of Crime (VOCAT), Carer Gateway, NDIS (self- and plan-managed), and health services, among others. This allows me to offer practical, system-aware support alongside therapeutic care.
My academic and professional training reflects a strong commitment to lifelong learning. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work and Forensic Studies, with a specialisation in attachment theory and trauma across the lifespan. I’ve also completed dedicated psychoanalytic training, which continues to inform my understanding of relational depth, unconscious processes, and emotional development. In addition, I hold postgraduate qualifications in Family Therapy and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and have pursued extensive study in trauma recovery, yoga therapy, breathwork and Kriya practices, and EMDR, along with other body-based and integrative modalities.
My work bridges clinical expertise with somatic and mindfulness-based practices to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and lasting change. Whether you’re working through trauma, relational difficulties, anxiety, or are simply seeking a deeper connection with yourself, I offer a grounded, collaborative space tailored to your needs.
At the heart of my practice is a belief in the healing power of presence, safety, and relationship. Together, we’ll develop a shared understanding of your story and a therapeutic plan that honours your pace and goals. Where appropriate, we may integrate body-based techniques, breath practices, or nervous system regulation strategies alongside traditional talk therapy.
I founded In-Reverie Therapy as a space to gently explore your inner world—with curiosity, compassion, and respect. I am accredited to practise in both Australia and the UK, and remain committed to evolving and refining my approach through ongoing professional development and embodied practice.
